Blue Mountain Resort

The Ski Season is one of the busiest time of year for Blue Mountain and the Collingwood are. When the temperatures drop but the real estate market is warms up. The ski resorts are on of the largest employers in the area and many families depend on the tourism market for their income.

Blue Mountain Resort was originally started by Jozo Weider which was then bought out by the Intrawest Group in the early 90’s. Intrawest recently sold to an Aspen Skiing Company and KSL Capital Partners, LLC.

Blue Mountain resort has become a 4 season destination for winter warriors and Green seasons enthusiasts. Golfing , sailing, fishing and shopping are some of the biggest draws to the area thru the summer months.

The tourism industry has create a large condo and second residence industry in the area. New developments at the base of Blue Mountain Resort are continuing to grow more and more every year.

The Town of Blue Mountains borders Collingwood all the way to Meaford Ontario.
